Carly Harstad (Therapeutic Farm/Stable Worker and Instructor)

Carly Harstad's love of horses started when she first began riding at the age of five. After graduating high school she moved to Northern Alberta to become a horse trainer, where she specialized in starting unhandled horses and working with horses who had been through trauma. She eventually moved back home and began working as a personal assistant to an equine surgeon and lameness specialist. Eventually her work with horses led her to coaching new riders at a competitive showjumping barn. She believes in gentle beginnings and spreading the value and benefits of the equine/human connection.
