Bryce Murphy is a fourth year Social Work student at Toronto Metropolitan University (formally known as Ryerson University).

Bryce has experience working at Durham Children’s Aid Society (DCAS) as their Summer Camp Coordinator, where she placed children being supported by DCAS into summer camps. Last year, Bryce completed her third year placement at Girls inc. of Durham where she supported and uplifted young girls through in-school programming, after school programming, and March Break camps. In this programming, themes of bullying, consent, relationships (family and friends), confidence, sexual, mental and physical health were discussed. Bryce volunteers regularly with Durham Children’s Aid Foundation (DCAF) and loves helping out with their “Holiday Hope” fundraiser. DCAF provides gift hampers that include clothes, toys, and gift cards to over a thousand children and youth across Durham Region. This is a great opportunity that ensures children and youth have a reason to celebrate the holiday season.

Outside of school, Bryce loves staying active in her free time! She plays soccer weekly with a team, loves walking and Pilates. Bryce is a huge advocate for self-care practices and believes it has such a positive impact on a person’s physical and mental health.
