Group Therapy

Children's Group Therapy Programs (After-School Groups & Pony Clubs)

Running through the fall, winter and spring on a regular basis is our After- School Club for children and teens from age 5 years to 14 years. This program is designed as an extension of our summer Youth & Kids Club day treatment program which assists youth and children who have social-emotional problems and/or learning disabilities that are affecting their daily school and/or home life function. The program is specially designed to be fun and enjoyable while at the same time providing our young clients with the essentials for developing strong healthy relationships, confidence learning, self discipline and practical problem solving skills. It includes social skills training, anxiety and anger management, values training, leadership skill development and learning strategies. Children's Day Treatment Programs (Summer Youth Day Treatment Program)

Dr. Angela Fountain & Associates offer special Child and Youth Day Program for children ages 6-14 years old experiencing social-emotional problems and/or learning disabilities. The program is specially designed to be fun and enjoyable while at the same time providing our young clients with the essentials for developing strong healthy relationships, confidence learning and practical problem solving skills. Embedded in thematic weeks of fun and adventure in a country setting are opportunities for individualized and group skill building in the areas of social skills, anger and anxiety management, impulse control, sustained attention and learning skills. Parenting Group Therapy Programs (Parents As Partners)

“Parents as Partners” is a series of therapeutic parenting support groups run by Dr. Angela Fountain that are designed to assist parents in partnering with their child’s treatment. These groups will address the extra stresses and challenges associated with parenting children with mental health problems.  Programs are run in 6 week intervals focusing on parenting children with various problems.  Topics addressed include: understanding your childs issues, parenting techniques, choosing and engaging in the right treatment plan for your child, managing school and outside activities, and building the right support team of professionals and resources.
