Who is Dawn De Souza?

Dawn De Souza is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), currently completing a clinical therapy placement with Dr. Angela Fountain & Associates as part of her Master of Social Work at Dalhousie University. She holds a Social Service Workers Honours Diploma from Seneca Polytechnic and a Bachelor's in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University).
 

What does Dawn De Souza specialize in?

She works from a trauma-informed, strength-based, client-centred approach that strives to meet people where they are and work toward their goals of healing and coping with challenges. Dawn has supported youth, adults, and families with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and experiences of abuse and trauma, with training in CBT, strength-based, and narrative therapy approaches.
 

What is Dawn De Souza's background and training?

She has a background in the disability and homeless sectors, where she supported individuals and families through some of their hardest moments to arrive at a place of stability and comfort. Dawn comes to this work from a place of compassion and understanding, with the knowledge that each of us needs a safe space to heal, learn, and grow.
