Sarah Yellapa, BSW.
Sarah is fully bilingual (English/French). She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and will complete her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto, with a specialization in children and families.
She has experience in the areas of harm reduction, Indigenous Child and Family Services reform, education, and has co-facilitated group therapy for young children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and anxiety.
Sarah has a passion for helping others and enjoys working with children, youth, and adults. She offers a safe, reassuring, and non-judgmental space where clients are supported through their challenges and can comfortably progress toward their goals. Sarah currently works with children and youth with singular or dual diagnoses of learning disabilities, behavioural disorders and mental health challenges. With a holistic approach, Sarah employs strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and evidenced-based techniques to help clients overcome barriers and achieve positive change.
Sarah respects diversity. Through volunteer work, she has worked to combat systemic racism within the criminal justice system and support  incarcerated individuals. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts, playing with her little dog, going to the gym, spending time with family/friends, and watching movies.
